Asin, Salman Ready For ‘Ready
June 16, 2010: Salman Khan and Asin had previously made a good pair in Vipul Shah’s London Dreams. The success of the pair has probably inspired director Annes Bazmee to make a film with Salman Khan and Asin. Both of them were ready for shooting Ready.
The Gajini girl, Asin, has packed her bags to leave for Sri Lanka next Sunday for shooting of the film, which is a remake of a Telugu film of the same name. Ready is also being remade in Tamil with Dhanush and Genelia in the lead and will be titled ‘Uttama Puthiran’.
But, all is not well with Asin. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC), has already boycotted the Bollywood stars attending IIFA awards in Colombo. Asin is also acting in a Tamil film Kavalkaran with Vijay, so the big question is, will they create problems for her too?
In an interview, Salman Khan, the hero of Ready said, “If people are in trouble in Sri Lanka, we should not dump them. We are here to entertain them. We won’t be able to go to Kashmir, Afghanistan or Gujarat if this attitude continues.”
Ready was originally supposed to begin its shooting in Mauritius. However, the Sri Lankan government has been able to impress Salman Khan and the filmmakers when they rolled out the red carpet smoothly for the IIFA. Moreover, the spectacular locales of Sri Lanka also had a striking role in this particular change of mind.
Many Tamil superstars were infuriated over choosing Sri Lanka as the IIFA venue. Asin said, “I respect the feelings of my fans and have not attended the awards function. However, I cannot take any decision regarding the shooting of Ready as it has been decided by the producer. I have signed a contract to shoot for them and I have to abide by that. I have already shown my concern and hope that they think about it.”

Lolo's dieting .. Bebo's eating
Spotted: Karisma Kapoor dressed in a bright red shirt, with kohl-lined eyes, huge solitaries blazing her ears, ordering herself a fancy meal at a new hip roadside cafe on Pali Hill.
Lolo had stepped out alone, yes, minus her two kids and her husband Sanjay Kapur. Her intention was simple — to spoil herself silly. As the rain poured down hard outside, Lolo decided to dig into a meal of her choice.
The reason this actress, who is usually very careful with what she eats, was eating to her heart’s content is because she goes into a strict diet for the next 11 days. On June 25, when Lolo turns 36, she wants to get into the designer outfit her younger sister Kareena has ordered for her.
While Lolo was dining alone at her favourite food joint, Bebo who is shooting Golmaal-3 in Hyderabad, was sulking. “God I’m missing Mumbai and I’m missing spending time with Lolo and my nephew,” she said.
Bebo who calls Karisma her size zero inspiration, had a surprise revelation to make. “For once, things are the exact opposite for the two of us. Lolo is trying to lose her post-natal fat; and I’m trying to put on a little weight. I want to be perfectly rounded. I’m bored of being too thin. And I actually enjoy eating at this neighbourhood cafe where you bumped into Lolo.”

Akshay bonds with Aamir, SRK
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar recently had a "superstar experience", when he was flying in and out of Mumbai.
When the actor was travelling from London to Mumbai, Aamir Khan was on his flight and next day when he took a flight back to London to join his wife and son for summer holidays, he met Shah Rukh Khan.
Akshay described his superstar experience on twitter as "funniest".
The actor said both he and Aamir enjoyed a bit of the football world cup before they flew back to Mumbai together. "And the next day I flew back to London to join my wife and son for our summer holiday and I met Shah Rukh Khan on my flight. It was nice to know he feels as grateful as I am for being a part of our industry and how lucky we are...," he wrote.
Akshay, who is currently shooting for Patiala House in London, said it was amazing that he managed to chat more with his work mates on a flight than he does in the entire year.
Even Shah Rukh tweeted about his encounter with Akshay, considered to be his rival. "had akshay kumar for company. was wonderful to be with him after so long. laughed for hours..we always do whenever v meet. happiness to him," he wrote.
However, the plane ride to London was scary, SRK wrote. "scary plane ride...200 km/hr headwind knocked us all over. thought was going to die so covered my face and hid under thin blanket. felt safer."
